2019 Ram 1500 Rebel Exterior FeaturesThe 2019 Ram 1500 is new and improved for the 2019 model year. Ram made changes both inside and out with a focus on comfort and ride quality along with increasing the truck’s capabilities. The new vehicle is lighter than previous models, it’s larger, and it has a new exterior look. In addition to these changes, it also has a new mild hybrid system to help make it more fuel efficient. Here are some of the reasons why buyers will love the 2019 Ram 1500.

The Variety

The new Ram 1500 gives drivers the option to choose from two different cab styles, two different bed lengths, and both a standard and a long wheelbase. There are six trim levels available that range from a basic work truck to a luxury vehicle, and you can even opt for an off-road beast. The Tradesman is the work truck and comes with just the basics, but you can step up to the HFE, The Big Horn, the Rebel, the Laramie, or the Limited.

The Rebel is the off-road themed model with specialized off-road tires, skid plates, tow hooks, and a Class IV hitch receiver. The Limited is the luxury model, and it comes with leather seats, chrome exterior trim, and power-retractable side steps.

The Power

The base engine in the 2019 Ram 1500 is a 3.6-liter V-6 that generates 305 horsepower and 269 pound-feet of torque. All but the HFE offer the option for a 5.7-liter V-8 that will get you 395 horsepower and 410 pound-feet of torque. Both of these engines come with an eight-speed automatic transmission and rear-wheel drive with four-wheel drive offered as an option. The HFE is the only model that gets a more fuel-efficient version of the V-6.

The Interior

Ram made some significant improvements to the interior of the Ram 1500. All the materials are excellent quality with soft-touch surfaces throughout the cabin. The midlevel Laramie comes with leather upholstery, heated and ventilated front seats, and driver-seat memory functions. It also has power-adjustable pedals with memory and a heated steering wheel. The top-level Limited trim comes with bucket seats in the front covered in premium leather.

The Safety Features

Where Ram really stepped things up is with the advanced safety features in the 2019 Ram 1500. All the trims now come standard with a rearview camera, and you can bump up to the Laramie for front and rear parking sensors, or go with the Limited for a blind-spot monitoring system with rear cross-traffic alert. Additional safety equipment that Ram makes available include adaptive cruise control, a surround-view camera, forward collision warning with automatic emergency braking, and a self-parking system.

The Technology

The technology in the Ram also saw some upgrades for the 2019 model year. The base trim comes with a 5-inch touchscreen display, but just a step up to the Big Horn will get you an 8.4-inch screen that works with both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The Rebel adds a larger driver information display, and it comes with satellite radio, while the Laramie adds an emergency notification system.
